Here is his FatCow Review:
When I first saw Fatcow's various services, I thought that Fatcow would be a good switch from hostmonster, my previous provider. I was soon proved wrong. Their service description is sneakily worded. It said "Unlimited email...", but I was informed that their email size limit was 20mb. There is only one help article in their database that says this.
If you're looking for: 1. Reliable Email Servers 2. Fast web servers 3. quick SQL connectivity between web and SQL & 4. Reliable LAMP platformance, then do NOT consider FatCow as an option. Their servers cannot handle the more advanced applications and is more suited for the simple blog, the simple static website, or the quick hobby site. FatCow has not been reliable for business web hosting.
I can see why they have a lot of great reviews, they are all from new web hosting clients who FatCow seems to target the most. Typically, customers new to web hosting will have the most basic of websites with little traffic, sure, FatCow is awesome for them, I'm sure.
If you want to transfer a busier site that gets hundreds of visitors a day that requires access to MySQL to use, man, just stay away. If you are new and need cheap hosting, sure, I guess FatCow was built for you.
