FatCow has been fantastic. I've called their telephone support and was able to understand their support agents who have since told me are all based in either Canada or United States. No wonder!
FatCow would get a full "Excellent!" rating except for the fact that I don't like their pricing scheme. If you only pay for a year, like what I did, please be prepared for full price charges on your credit card after your hosting term is up. Had I known, I would have registered for three years and saved a heap of money. I'm frustrated about this now, but it was my mistake.
I just can't bring myself to cancelling my hosting with them, even though I have to pay full price and their customer service won't budge. I guess to get that great customer service, great reliability, and good uptimes, I have to pay for it. You get what you pay for and I'm "settled in" now.
I highly recommend FatCow. Unless you are testing the internet with your first site and unsure, I do recommend going with their to or three year plan. You'll save a lot of money in the long run. Take advantage of it.
