Here is his FatCow Web Hosting review:
EVERYONE - WARNING! DO NOT host your website with the same company that you register your domains with, holy crap was that a mistake. In my case, I decided what the heck, and signed up to GoDaddy web hosting when I registered my first domain. I figured since they were so popular as a domain registration service, that they must be just as popular with web hosting too, right? NO! My site was always friggen offline and I was always so upset trying to get ahold of their "customer service"...if you want to call it that. As it turns out, many people are frustrated with GoDaddy for web hosting.
Enter FatCow. I've seen their web service before but couldn't afford to pay $6.95 to host with them. Too high of a price for my blood. But now, they suddenly lowered their price to get new customers and offer $3.67 a month prices when you sign up for three years which was like $135 or something cheap.
I think the first point I like about FatCow is their customer service, is actually, get this, customer service! They helped me through a couple issues I had over the phone, and even picked up the phone in less than 5 minutes. I felt like I took a step back to 1980 when this was the "normal thing" here in USA.
The second point, dude spoke English-accented English. Yes! If FatCow reads this, please do NOT ship your customer service overseas, you'll always have a customer in me and I'll pay you anything you want within reason just for this point alone.
My last point, I have 20 domains and run a small business from my home office. I sell web services using websites that target customers. Since moving from GoDaddy, my sites do load a lot faster and the mighty Google seems to like my websites more too. That probably has a lot to do with my sites actually being online when they send their spiders through my site. I think Google might rank websites based on response times as part of their algorithm. Either way, faster loading sites and higher rankings equals higher profits.
The bad. FatCow's ticket system isn't up to stuff. I don't like using it because I tend to get help from people overseas. I think they outsource the tickets and live chat or send their overflow there, not sure. Sometimes I get immediate help with knowledgeable people, sometimes, not so much. Hit and miss.
No host is perfect. FatCow? As long as you call in for help, you can't go wrong.
